What is the cost for your service?
Prices are quoted at the “per-person” rate depending on the location, number of guests, and menu selection. “Buffet-Style” service costs less due to fewer wait staff and chefs needed to cater the event. Also guests have a larger selection of food to choose from and they can come back for seconds! Sit-down service runs more due to the need for more wait staff and chefs.
How many wait staff and chefs do I need for my event?
We staff at a rate of 1 server per every 30 - 35 guests for “Buffet” service and 1 server every 15 - 20 guests for a “Sit-Down” service. We also staff 1 chef per every 30 guests to ensure the best possible service.
What are your rates for staff?
Wait Staff $20 per hour each, 4 hour minimum
Chefs $25 per hour each, 4 hour minimum
Do you supply plates, silverware, and napkins?
Yes, I will provide clear glass appetizer and dinner plates, forks and wood-handled steak knifes with my service. I also supply paper napkins. Linen napkins can be rented at the rate of 75¢ per napkin.
Do you supply glassware, tables, chairs, and linens?
No, however I would be glad to assist you in arranging the delivery of any glassware, tables, chairs or linens needed for your event.
What is the average service time?
Most buffets have a 1 hour service time and appetizer parties run about 1 1/2 - 2 hours depending on requests. Extended serve time is always available upon request.
Do you use my stove and oven?
Yes - I would prefer to cook “on-site” to ensure freshness and quality. Your oven and stove are always cleaned and your counter tops and sinks sanitized before I leave the event.
Do you provide your own cooking supplies?
Yes, I supply all of my own pots, pans and utensils needed for the event.
How far will you travel?
I travel all around Northern California to service my clients' needs. I do add a small service charge depending on distance.
Do you charge a cake-cutting fee?
No, this service is always free to my clients.
Do you supply beverages?
I can supply water, sodas and punch, but I cannot supply alcohol. I can, however, provide a bartender to assist with any bar service needed.
Do you charge gratuities on the bill?
No, gratuities are always appreciated and open to the client.
Can I put out food in addition to what the Caterer prepares?
No, due to liability and insurance issues, nothing can be supplemented to the caterer’s food. Wedding and Birthday cakes are the exception.
Do I get to keep the extra food?
I will package any food that has not been heated and served on the buffet service. Due to liability issues food packaged to leave with clients will be at my discretion.
5% Service Charge on all Events for travel time, gas, etc.
